ALPINE RUNNING TOUR

Day 1 Arrival 

Today, arrive in Zurich, meet your Tour Manager and proceed to the hotel. Check in and later meet your fellow runners and tour manager for a brief on the tour over dinner. Overnight in Zurich. 

 

Day 2 Zurich – Chamonix 

Today, we will proceed for our first run of the tour in Zurich. An enjoyable and easy morning run will give a fascinating insight into this city. We will get impressed by charming views of Zurich Lake and the Old Town, and enjoy views of Frau Munster & Gros Munster. We will run on the most expensive street in the world – Bahnhofstrasse. We will then end our run at Lindenhof to get a birds-eye view of Zurich. Later, check out and proceed to Berne, the de facto capital of Switzerland. Enjoy a walk through the UNESCO heritage old town. Later, we proceed to our next destination – Chamonix in France. Chamonix is a trail runner’s dream destination. Enjoy a relaxed evening run in the picturesque alpine village. Overnight in Chamonix.

Day 3 Mont Blanc trail 

Today, we will embark on our first trail run of the tour. We will run on a section of one of the most iconic ultra-trail marathon routes – UTMB. This trail allows us spectacular views of the Mont Blanc – the highest peak in western Europe. The rest of the day is at leisure. Later, you may choose to take an optional excursion to Aiguille Du Midi. Overnight at Chamonix.

Day 4 Chamonix – Grindelwald  

This morning we will enjoy a run through the Chamonix village. After breakfast, we will proceed to Geneva to see the International District, and walk along Lake Geneva. We will then proceed to Lausanne and visit the Olympic Museum. Overnight in Grindelwald.

Day 5 Eiger North Face 

Today, we will take the Eiger Express cable car, to reach Eiger Glacier station, and start one of the iconic trail-runs in Switzerland – Eiger North Face Trail. We will be enthralled by the awe-inspiring views during our run. The run will end at our hotel in Grindelwald. Later the day is at leisure, OR you can opt for an excursion to Jungfraujoch. Next, we will proceed to Engelberg, an Alpine village resort, situated 1000 meters above sea level. Overnight in Engelberg.

Day 6 Four Lake Circuit 

Today, we will proceed by cable car to reach our starting point for the Four Lake Trail run. We will enjoy an amazing run on a trail that will leave you spellbound by the crystal-clear blue waters of glacier lakes. You have a choice to run the entire Four Lake Trail circuit or a part of it. Later, we will visit Mt. Titlis where you can soak in the stunning views of the mountains around central Switzerland. The evening is free, or you can opt to visit the beautiful city of Lucerne. Overnight in Engelberg.

Day 7 Engelberg – Innsbruck

Today, we will enjoy an easy early morning run in Engelberg. Later, we will proceed to Innsbruck, Austria. This evening, you could opt for a short run through the picturesque Old Town. Overnight in Innsbruck or Seefeld.

Day 8 Innsbruck – Munich 

Today, we will enjoy an early morning run in Innsbruck. Nestled amidst majestic peaks, Innsbruc is a breath-taking city offering a unique combination of nature, history, and culture. We will run along the Inn River, Maria Theresien Strasse and see the Golden roof. We will end our run at the Bergisel ski jump. Later, we will proceed to visit Nueschwanstein castle in Germany. Overnight in Munich.

Day 9 Departure 

Today we will transfer to the airport for our return journey home.
